Ok so just another update it is now over a month in fact well over since the Halifax said that they would sort it out. I have left it with them and as per usual nothing. Still no letter, still nothing showing the balance paid etc. So sad esp considering that they have had my money since September.

So it looks like its off to the FCA January. Oh joy!

    Ok well January update.

Please remember that the Halifax have now had all of the money paid in full since September.

    Got a statement. I owe them £1570???
Incredible. Called them and they are supposedly sorting it out and so sorry etc. Absolute incompetence and amazing that banks can get away with rubbish like this. They are so they say calling me back tonight so let me know what happened and why it is still not sorted. Apparently the complaint had been closed! Trying to stay calm as I know that it is not the person I speak to on the phones fault but it is very difficult.

They have until tonight and then I have told them I will cease all communication and leave it in the Ombudsman's hands.

Moral of the story DO not use Halifax for anything ever! They will say you have not paid when you have receipts. They will action and compliant to close it without doing anything and then charge you interest because one of their idiots changed one of your cheques.

Use Barclays, Santander hey use a loan shark but do not use Halifax EVER !

Had to laugh, bless a little girly from Halifax called yesterday night about 6.30 to ask for a feedback review on how my calls had been handled. Could not leave 0 so had to say 1.

I actually felt sorry for her. My statement is due on the 19th ( the day I go on holiday to see my mum ) so it should be fun?

You do no the advisor will be penalised, not the company for the score
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
