thanks cat4772, that's a really good tip about a spending diary I've got a note book upstairs so will get ready for tomorrow.

Finally get paid tomorrow have had no petrol for 3 days so worked at home, will definitely leave debit card at home after withdrawing weeks money from bank. £60 for groceries and £30 for mine and DH spending, lets see how I do.
