For future reference (being a regular importer) there are other shipping options - try FedEx, UPS, DHL etc. They do still all require a clearance fee to be paid of course, although it can be effectively prepaid at the shipper's end - although shipping prices are a lot dearer it saves you having to 1) teach your shipper about customs clearance declaration and 2) you having to do the clearance paperwork and collection.

Look i never said i am online shopping for 10 years in UK. I'm only here for just over 4 years and i only had to complete a customs form once before, and i certainly didn't had to pay any !!!!er for 13.50 pounds to do it! And yes not all of the customs offices are in the same building, it's still not worth 13.50gbp. I send it back to Japan with so much.

Legality does NOT mean justice! When i hear you people i wished you were in middle east..see how you like the legality of things there..

Stop being sheep. You know it's not right. In a while they are going to bang your wives and daughters for "taxes" and ask you for an admin fee too on top for handling of condoms.

And the last thing, don't blame the seller. I read again what you wrote and how the !!!! does anyone expect to know that you need to force the sender which doesn't even speak english to write down that note on the CN23 form, when the procedure is not even mentioned in the government's website, and instead in another random article written by somebody? Take into account people that are new and have no idea about this !!!!. Just admit it and there is no need for no-one to be an *****le because they had the damn charge paid before.

Now THIS IS disgusting. Shame on you OP. Disrespectful on EVERY level.

I agree with you, but was it really a good idea to quote the stuff?

Ah, first world problems. It's 13.50 FGS.

Of course there is a way to prevent these issues. Buy from UK companies.

You say the sender can't speak english, you say you've only lived here a few years and yet you cant write a passage of texts about £13.50 without swearing?

    Seriously?

Okay so you don't like the facts - but then again, you do know they will either return or dispose of the item if you don't pay up right?

You know that because you researched it right?
