So tomorrow's payday and today will be another NSD. I've added all my figures up and this month we've managed to save a humongous £1340 which takes us to the total of £2540, good start.
December is also looking good, if I pass my exam I'll get a bonus and we're also at my parents' for two weeks which will be cheap. Fingers crossed and positive vibes
Feeling much better today, managed to have some food for the first time since Tuesday night and I'm back at work. Loads of water and 12hrs of sleep did wonders.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday
P.S. I'm more than excited about watching Paddington movie tomorrowjust a little kiddy aren't I :rotfl:

Glad you're feeling better!
Well done! You will be there before you know it. Wish I could save, haha. Maybe if I get the raise I'm going to ask for next month, I'll be able to.
And enjoy the movie. I've actually only braved the cinema once with one of mine (left the younger one with my mum), but she did love Frozen.
Every Friday night, we choose a film (one that I've recorded during the week on Sky Plus) with a big bowl of popcorn, in our jimmies, under a duvet. Love it!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
(End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
(End 2022) - Target £116,213.810 -
Pollyanna24 Thanks for support, with every month it'll become more and more real
Well done on asking for a raise! I did in Jan and it got a bit heated and it got a bit frustrating but we managed to come up with a plan that we both felt was fairif you feel like you deserve it, go for it and the very best of luck, let me know how it goes
I just love a good movie with DS0 -
Whoa people, slow down! It's just another day and you don't NEED any of that rubbish, it's not essential. Saving or paying off debt feels so much more satisfying
Well I for one am proud to say I have not and will not buy a single item, who's with me?!
Anywho, all I need tonight is a cuddle with my DS whilst we watch a funny film and laugh our heads offdon't think you can do that with a vacuum cleaner

Well I have not and will not buy a single item! However I did look! Parents are buying us a tumble dryer for Christmas so I looked to see if the one I want (i.e. one recommended by Mummy Twig) was on sale - it wasn't so I promptly shut the browser!!
People are going crazy though - seen people on FB saying they were going to look - didn't want or need anything or know what they were going to buy, but they were going to buy something! Why?!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)0 -
Paddington movie was thoroughly enjoyable
a nice family film
On Wednesday when I was ill for the first time in well over a year, it was worrying and I'm the last person to worry about anything. I always think, as long as you've got health, you've got everything. Anything else is just a bonus that's fairly easily achievable when you're fit and strong. This is cemented in my head more so than ever now. Without health there's no wealth so let's all look after ourselves
Today we're meeting friends for kids play time so it won't be a NSD but coming from a budget so all's good
Hope everyone has a fun Saturday :T0 -
In a shop today my little one sees Christmas crackers that are labeled WAS £20 NOW £10, he looks at them for a minute and then says, that sticker makes people want to buy it more because it looks cheap. Maybe it was never even selling for £20?
YES!!! I shout, that's right my little boy, you've got the hang of it
Proud mummy moment0 -
Your little one shows definite promise on the MSE front0
