Vodafone contract mess
Options
Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this experience as I am getting nowhere with vodafone.
I have been a customer for many years due to vodafone being the only signal you get where I live.
I upgraded my phone in september via my online account. No problems, the phone arrived and all was good.
After afew days I looked at my online account and a completly random phone number was attached to my account alongside my exsisting one. A bit weird I thought...
I phoned vodafone and after a long queue I managed to speak to someone. They couldnt understand what I was talking about and that I had requested a new number. I said that was complete rubbish and vodafone had made a mistke. She finally said that they had sold me a new line by mistake but my account had been fixed and all was now well.
A week later my account still had this strange number so I phoned again and got the same response.
After being put through to loads of diffrerent departments I was told that someone from upgrades was willing to help me. How very nice of them I thought.
The lady did help and everything fainally got sorted.
Heres the good bit,
That months bill came to £1250.
Thats a bit steep I thought....
My bill breakdown showed a £1200 cancellation charge. A cancellation that never happened.
I spoke to them again and explained everything again and they said it was there fault and would sort it.That months payment would be cancelled and they would work out a revised bill and also credit me the £4.17 late payment fee.
Later that month my phone was cut off. I spoke to them again and this time everytime I spoke to someone and explained the situation they would terminate the phone call.
I was finally re connected with an apology. This month however I recieved the same bill as last month. £1250 with a £4.17 late payment fee.
I phoned again, ( I would go into a store but my nearest one is miles away and very difficult for me to get to due to work) and the woman said that I have to pay the whole bill. Having to butt in and tell her to raed the notes on her screen she finally agreed with me but there was nothing they could do until wednesday as another departmment has to look at the situation and for me to phone back then.
I havent paid my normal bill in 2 months now as my direct debit has been cancelled and they can't take a normal payment as the computer still says I owe £1250.
I must of phoned them litrally 25 times and most of them being disconnecteed whilst on hold. I even tried the live chat thing but the guy said that they couldnt help with this problem.
All a big mess and to be honest, not entirely happy with vodafone to say the least all the while waitning for my phone to be disconnected again.

Never mind any of that. You will have wrecked your external credit files and need to sort it - and you'll never achieve THAT (or anything else) by calling or writing to them (as you've discovered).
Contact the Web Relations Team on here (see Vodafone complaints thread as to how). All else is a waste of time and makes the problems worse.0 -
Thanks mobilejunkie,
I'll get on to that now
