Shopperdisc scam

Hi, new to the forum but have seen a couple of old closed threads about this.

I noticed on my C/C that i have been charged £10 PM for quite some time by shopperdisc (from interflora site). I have tried to contact them to cancel but they only let you contact them if you have an account number which of course they never send you...

Question was anything ever done about these people and is it possible to get your money back?

Cheers

Never used them but a quick search I found this....

    Call them on 0800 731 9935 (free phone), open Mon-Fri 8am - 8pm and Saturday 9am - 4pm.

    Email them at customerservice@shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk

Seems a lot of people have been caught out with them, it may be a row on the phone {from reports} but it seems for some at least has had some effect in getting the account closed. Not sure about getting any refunds though :0(

Cancel the Continuous Payment Authority through your card provider.

Technically this doesn't cancel the underlying contract, but it is unlikely they would pursue for more money.

It might be a good idea to send SD an email explaining what you are doing and why. It doesn't matter whether you get a response or not... but at least you will then have proof of your cancellation should they try to take even more money.

Edited to add: When you have that proof of cancellation email, if they do take more money, a chargeback through your card issuer would recover that money without any problem.

That does of course mean that you need to read your card statement every month. ;)

Not saying that anything will work but this was posted as a reply on the 14/11/14 from them to people complaining about the company. PERHAPS this "Mary" could help if you can give her the info you used to join, I am not saying it will work, as I said it is not a company I have dealt with but other than CAB or any other suggestions that have been put forward I cannot see any other answer.
