Over 30 years ago this was what all the employers said when my school friend (now my sis in law) asked around. She has a summer birthday, so had already left school after sitting exams and was looking for part-time work before going into sixth form, but she was still 15. I've got an Autumn birthday, so was months past my 16th when I started looking and had no problems. I got the first Saturday job I applied for.My daughter was not able to get a Saturday job until she was 16 years old. They all wanted National Insurance number and passport.0
