Would you pay 25 grand for a 2nd hand Toyota iQ?

Browsing the web today, dreaming as usual of owning an Aston, when I stumbled across this travesty:
Toyota iQ pretending to be an Aston Martin
Now call me cynical, but this is not an Aston in the true sense of the prestige cars they lovingly craft.
Someone decided to slap a bit of fancy interior trim, some ghastly boy racer body vents and of course, an Aston badge, on a bog standard Toyota iQ.
Then charge the earth for it
Now, I have no idea what they were going for when new, but as this one is 25 grand for a 2012 model, I hate to think.
The funny thing is, if I ever saw one of these driving down the street, I would think 'what idiot bought that?', rather than 'oh look, an Aston, super cool'
A materialistic world gone mad lol

Beware rogues, scoundrels and cowboys. We will hunt you down, then expose and eradicate you from our daily lives.

New, £38,000ish IIRC and they only sold 150 before stopping production after 2 years.0

It's a cynical attempt to lower the CO2 value of the entire AM range to meet EU legislation.
Apparently only around 140 odd in the UK so could be a future classic...lol0 -

I wouldn't be thinking anything to be fair, it's their money not mine to spend as they please, whilst I would pay £25k or even £38k for a car, that model would not be the one I would choose.0 -
I thought the logic was that they were discounted for full fat Aston owners who could use them as a second car for city driving and still show off the badge.0

It was called the Aston Martin Cygnet and 2012 prices ranged from entry level £31K to the CVT at £41K.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Aston Martin spent almost as long rebuilding the car as they did to build a DB9, its far removed from the iq which left the factory.
Overfinch do the same to Range Rovers which is why they cost at least twice as much as factory standard.0 -

Really? With absolutely no fettling to chassis or engine by Aston, the Cygnet drives exactly like a Toyota iQ. Which is fine if you’re in a £10k Toyota with modest urban ambitions, but when you’ve spent nearly £32,000 on an Aston Martin badge, albeit one mounted above a 1.3-litre engine, you’d be forgiven for expecting a little more. The Cygnet sees off 60mph in the same 11.8 seconds as the iQ and still maxes out at 106mph despite Aston’s bespoke body.
http://www.topgear.com/uk/aston-martin/cygnet/verdictAston Martin's changes to the design were to exterior tweaks and a reworked interior.

There are a couple round here.
The interior is very nice.
Not what I'd spend my money on but if it's small change to you then why not.0
