Well that was a pretty long break! I've been lurking for most of 2016...reading every day but not posting. It's funny, I think of things I want to post about and then don't get round to it. Lots of challenges and expenses and gambles ahead in 2017 so I'm aiming to resurrect the diary.

Let's hope my next post isn't in 2018.... F- MUST TRY HARDER

Trying to ease myself back into MSE ways... up a little late so just a recap.

    Today's wins

Sent off £6.29's worth of foreign currency so should receive a bank transfer in a couple of weeks. Got just under £100 back from an overcharge on a credit card by a company a couple of weeks ago- they argued it but then realised they were wrong.

Will do updated circumstances/SOA tomorrow/this week. It's super late and I'm exhausted so time for bed...

Hey Monz- hanging on in there. Will head over to catch up on your diary in a bit. I must have the worst track record for posting- but yet I check diaries to see people's updates on a daily basis! Will try harder!

It's so silly though- because I know posting keeps me on track and stops me driving OH mad with moneysaving minute....I virtual post in my head and then completely forget....nearly a year between posts!

2017- the year of posting! Good luck :p

So I will need to update on some pretty huge bills that need paying this year- and I will (trying very hard to be accountable)- but things are still up in the air. We are awaiting some final mortgage deal offers before we remortgage- and then I can set a budget going forward. I know the outgoings for the next calendar month so I'll focus on that until we have the new mortgage deal processed and the new amount.

It's freezing here, how early is too early to light a fire?

Not a NSD today. £25 spent on a business cost for OH. Will recoup around £20-21 of that next month so I don't begrudge it at all. New figures with 11 days till payday...

    Bottom line

    Bank balance £121.19
    Cash in purse £19.50
    Savings Pots £236.84
    Annual Savings Challenges pots: £11.00
