donna - you know what the saying is, if you want something doing, ask a busy person. Could be handy blackmail material next time you want a favour!

kerri - sounds like my dustbin soup recipe, only ever made once because you can never recreate it.

knitwitch - I hope you have enough coloured wool to knit up all the different tartans for the Hogmanay do. I have already told Hubert there's a Clan McFaggot tartan in shades of pink and lavender just for him. And there's a batch of turnip whisky festering away in the Cauldron of Doom back at Ennessdee Towers, just hope all of us can escape the attentions of the natives in grass skirts and get that flight home in time. Come on, Igor, hitch Hubert up to the surfboards, there's some twenty-odd ( or is that twenty odd) NSD gang members waiting with their suitcases packed for a lift to the airport.......we have a New Year celebration to organise....

Right! Now I have the theme I can get knitting (let Hubert know that the pink wool has silver strands running through it - that should keep him distracted!)

    Having to declare at 15/18.

Coffee shop today and pub lunch tomorrow. I wish I'd kept my target at 15! Since joining this challenge in October I've kept a spending diary and managed 18, 18 and 15 NSDs. Thank you all for keeping me on the straight and narrow and to Marmite for sorting it all out.
    See you in 2015

    Can I quote myself?!
Decided not to go out today so coffee at home means my total is actually 16/18! :)

Extra! Extra! Read all abaht it! Tomorrow night, for one night onleee....Ennessdee Towers Productions in conjunction with the Chicky Ferret Catering Company proudly present.....the End of Month and End of Year Hannual Hogmanay Hoe down at Ennessdee Towers!

Why go out on New Year's Eve, pay a fortune for babysitters, meals, drinks, taxis and entertainment, crammed in some dark hovel of a club with the world and his mate and wake up on New Year's Day wondering what all that was about and who the hell is that with the wooden leg, false teeth and furry handcuffs chained to your bedpost? You can have much more fun at Ennessdee Towers! knitwitch is furiously knitting tartan robes for us all, Igor's turnip whisky and finest home made champagne cocktails ( fizzy, with a delicate hint of anchovy and packed with nitro glycerine) are all lined up ready, Swedish Chef has spit roast chicken on the menu (pluck it, spit on it and bung in the oven), and the music will be provided by a fabulous new ceilidh band that Igor recommends....think they're called The Good Ole Boys Slaughtering Ceilidh Band.......should be good.....

See you all there to welcome in the New Year!

    Hi all

I got back from England yesterday and bagged another NSD (12 NSDs:D). I spent £20 over the weekend as brother in law was being really generous.

Any chance you could whip up a hundred or so knitted thistles for decorations too please?

As it is Hogmanay, do we have enough haggis, neeps and tatties to soak up the turnip whisky? Oh, and I've baked some black bun loaves as well....anyone else watched the GBBO xmas specials? :D
