don't even get me started about twitter sympathy competition posts when they don't even ask for a reply just a Follow and RT now they do my head in£32 worth of prizes in 2015 so far0

I think 'compers' are a companies worst nightmare...just saying.0

I don't mind if people see my opinion as plenty have to see what they have to say when they comment 'sympathy' stories on light hearted competitions. It's hard to avoid seeing them at times and it works both ways, maybe if they don't want to feel judged they should be more careful to not get too personal or realise that every single person entering has troubles, no one should be more entitled to receive a prize based on how bad they have it. Anyway, a lot of the time it is a judged competition and they know what they say will be read by the promoter and everyone else, people will have different reactions.
It might feel good for them to write those things but as I said everyone has their troubles and worries and ways of dealing with it. I'd pick a creative winner or funniest every time if it was judged competition
Each to their own though0 -
You know, I feel exactly the same when people without children get slated for entering 'family' holidays.
If it's not compulsary to have kids to enter, then it's fair game.0 -
I don't judge people who enter so called 'family' holidays. Whatever the make up of your family - it is YOUR family. If your family is you + 3 kids or you + o/h and 1 kid or you + o/h and no kids or whatever - the unit is your family and who is anyone to say otherwise? Stuff and nonsense. The days of 2.4 kids were over long ago!0

Going back to sympathy votes, the nominations for this one

Are laying it on a bit thick at points and I'm not sure I would want someone to list my woes so I could win a surprise from Lidl.Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.

Willing acceptance - now, at this very moment - of what you can’t change0 -
We have a had couple 'tell us why you should' comps within our company - I asked the boss about this and she said that it was a random draw (random.org) but that the comments made her chuckle.......Back to comping after a couple of years overseasGood Luck Everyone0

i hate sympathy posts sorry if that offends anyone but the last thing you should be doing is using your loss of i presume family-to win something
think its quite sickWhat goes around-comes around0 -
I can't stand these types of posts and don't normally bother even looking at them, never mind entering!!
As a family, we've had a really sh** year with one bad thing after another happening, but I wouldn't dream about posting any of it on FB to try and win some toiletries or a toy!! As has been said, everyone has problems, we just don't all broadcast them!!0 -
I hate them. I always feel like it's begging and embarrassing.Make £10 per day-
June: £100/£3000
