moved from sky to plusnet .The phone is with eprimus .that is moving to plusnet on the 4th Dec.
Plusnet was suppose to be up and running from yesterday .
The Broadband went of a few days ago .
Plusnet BB wont connect ,the light on the router flashes but thats it .
I phoned plusnet who told me they would do a line test and phone me back in 15 minutes .An hour later still no call so I phoned again and I was told they would do a line test and put me on hold (on mobile ) .Meantime the first person phoned back and left a message to say BT needed to check the line and to contact plusnet to get an appointment .
Meantime the second plusnet call resulted in being told another test was needed on the line and they would phone me back within an hour .
I returned there call to make an appointment and they said I needed eprimus to do a line test as they couldnt get BT to do it .
I should add the land line still works .
Where do I go from here .Will eprimus do a line check for BB problems.

That's the problem with having BB from one provider and the phone line from another, even if there are savings to be had.......inevitably, whenthere are problems, they will each blame the other.
No harm in asking eprimus to check the line. As it seems to be working for calls, it might not show up a problem. But it is the BB provider who will need to raise an issue with the line provider if they need a BB fault rectified, as you do not buy your BB from eprimus, you buy it from Plusnet.
Its likely to settle down, hopefully, once your line and BB both come from Plusnet, but very frustrating in the interim.0 -
quick update .I asked eprimus to check the line ,no problem with that .
As luck would have it I had a spare plus net router so I swapped it and no joy .Then I changed the cable from the router to the phone socked and it worked .So all systems go ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0
