I just found my "other" inbox on FB :o

Apologies if anyone has ever sent me a message that has gone unanswered (they go back to 2012!)

I even had a recent message from my friend, Tony Pangasius.

For those of you unfamiliar with Tony's work.....

I found PD in my others box recently.......she does like to be different :p

Im going to bed now. I need to be up early to ensure SFSB is banned from every Asda in the country :p :rotfl:

Yup, that was the general consensus, if it worked after 12 noon then it would work for the rest of the day, was never sure about early morning next day - maybe because not many shopped that early.

I remember several occasions when a pm womble showed a glitch a lot of people would be "put off" because by the time it was discovered the multibuy was showing on MyS and lot thought it was over when indeed it wasn't but people seemed to get cold feet.

This sounds right to me. I don't think there is any updating after the midday/very early afternoon one. (Actually that big glitch week we had one April I recall ended at about 12.25pm - so it might be updated slightly later than midday; if it then works after that update, that will be for the rest of the day.)

I've just mentioned a few posts ago about the "shopping after midnight" scenario - I used to think it was very risky to go into a new day but, as we know, the APG updating isn't instantaneous and after midnight should still work as long as your check beats the morning update. The only difficulty is if prices instore change and start scanning as something unfavourably after 12 midnight. I don't know if you shop between 12 midnight and 6am (3am?) but wait till later in the day before entering the receipt, whether it then risks getting updated information or whether it still works from the information held at the time of your shop (which, prior to the "6am" update, should work). Then again surely that would make 5am shops fail, as they would have to be checked after 6am - yet we saw Evangeline's working. So maybe you don't need to beat 6am (entering your receipt) as long as your shop does? (Or, rather, beats whatever time it does update, around 6am, may be later, sometimes as late as midday, may not actually be 6am.)

If you shop before midnight, the APG, when checked (within 28 days), should pick up whatever information it ended with on the date of the shopping.

I think we are now close to 'cracking' this updating thing:D. (But don't rely on any of this, as it's theory;). Savvy's theory of APGtivity:rotfl:.)

Why it's taken us more than several years to work it out (especially with me here:eek: who should have known all this, automatically, years ago), I do not know:eek::eek:. Part of the problem, I now in retrospect feel, has been caused by my own denial and not accepting what other people have said:o:o. In my effort to 'correct' and be right, I sometimes wrongly correct others, believing myself to be correct when I am not. I sometimes fall into a trap of self-confirmation that repeats the same error the first confirmation had and fails to recognise it. Instead, it just keeps giving the same wrong answer as it uses itself for the confirmation, when in fact 'itself' was wrong in the first place and the assumptions on which it rested never challenged, questioned or seen by myself. I should have not thought I have all the answers everytime and, for that, I apologise.

So - sometimes, people, you have to say to me, directly and to my face, no, Savvy, you are WRONG - wake up!! (It works best if you then give me supported reasons as to why I'm wrong:rotfl:.)

Thank you.:T But, of course, as I write lots of separate paragraphs I've no idea what part of my post that ":kisses3:" is aimed at.

I think you are just thanking me for the whole, just expressing a bit of love for me/my post.

    In which case, :kisses3:.

I will have a ramble while I am waiting. :o

I find it really hard to throw things away so really pleased with myself I managed to part with an almost finished tube of sun lotion, I know it was opened year before last so well past it's best.

And a tube of lip gloss from Bodyshop that was leaking from the end, no matter how much I tried to keep it right way up it would always fall over and make a sticky mess. :o

I had been saving those little hangers you get with underwear to hang vest tops in the wardrobe but they end up getting tangled up among the bigger hangers so have thrown them all away. :T

And you wouldn't believe the amount of paperwork that has gone into recycling as well. :j

I managed to get all the 4p shoes into one little case, there has been a carrier bag with 3 pairs in floating around since last year so now they are all together. I must remember what I have.

All in all I think I have done a good job today. :D And no niggles of pain tonight so when I eventually get to bed I should be out for the count in no time. ;)
