Think I'm getting the beginnings of a cold so not left the house, in fact I haven't been out since I got in from work on Friday!
The friend who I mentioned last week had very bad news this week, she was told that there was nothing that could be done except for palliative treatment, so is starting chemo in January. So unfair.
I'm sure cancer has touched many people on this thread, I just wondered if anyone had any ideas of some little gifts I could send her when she starts chemo? I was thinking maybe a disney related ice cube tray, as she is a big disney fan and I read that chemo often makes you not want to drink but that people are advised to chomp on some bits of ice as a substitute.
Any other ideas please?
Hi Ladyshopper
Sorry to hear about your friend.
Ideas for gifts for people having chemo
Epiderm cream for sore hands
tablet opener in case they get sore hands (even getting into a foil pack of paracetamols can be difficult)
hot water bottle
Pineapple pieces (fresh not in syrup)
Difflam mouth spray
Igloo mouth gel for ulcers
Nice hat or scarf (try somewhere like annbandana for ideas)
warm gloves to keep hands warm ready for chemo drip to be hooked up
Ice cube tray
non alcohol mouthwash
soft toothbrush
Bottle/jar opener (the type that wraps around the edge of the lid)
crossword puzzles/magazines etc for the hour spent hooked up at treatment time
Nice candle
dvd
sensitive bath soak (something like Dove or Sanex)0 -

So here's the answer to the Pringles question from a shop done 3 hours ago..:D:D
Problem is, do we all rush out and try again??
If we do, avoid the Hot & Spicy which scanned as N/A and the Bacon because the multi was already showing 3 hours ago.
