I was passing by Aldi earlier - I've not been in there for ages ever since I started doing this "paying by wombles" thing. I noticed the Savoy Cabbage at 49p and the Salad Tomatoes pack (6) also at 49p. So much for A's locked and low 69p:rotfl:.

So, maybe no need to go for 3 for £1.50 'offer' on the Savoy in Morries after all. Especially not if you would have mixed and matched with Carrots, as they will probably lose out vs elsewhere. Perhaps just one Savoy Cabbage vs Aldi?

The loose Swede is 49p in Aldi. However, it looked to me quite a bit larger than the Swede in M. I wonder if M's price collectors would actually weigh the Swede and would compare for example M's min. 500g to Aldi at say 600g with a price adjustment downwards or whether they would treat both as minimum 500g or whether they wouldn't compare them at all. Nonetheless, M does claim to price match Aldi.

Also, Ibuprofen Tablets may be M vs Aldi 25p. I'm never sure about these things though - as they are "Health Essentials" Ibuprofen Tablets in Aldi. Not sure whether this would be treated as Health Essentials brand and therefore non-comparable from M's own brand or whether it is treated as Aldi and therefore compares.

There may be some bargains to be had, I feel, for anyone who has got the time, inclination and effort to check the Aldi store for anything good. I noticed frozen Basa Fillets had a red label offer as I passed - maybe that would be an item I don't know?

Otherwise, on the Savoy Cabbage (presumably if not buying threes) the APG's 'best' at the moment, unbelievably, is vs Sains:eek: at 60p or vs W at same price.

Haven't done a APG shop for some time (since my shopping buddy had his last turn).
Went to Smyths with my son today with an Sada next door.
I was pretty sure I could remember what I had to buy, but obviously couldn't.

    Was it Ch@rlton?

I wish they'd remove those £7 r'back Finish tablets from the APG voucher page. Using up valuable printer ink. I wondered if they are there for the few normal shoppers that check the APG, to try to get them to buy them next time and lose out all the APG then as even more expensive elsewhere. Apparently the Lemon version of the tablets (56 pack) isn't 10% cheaper than Morries. The Regular version [Strike]£16:eek:[/Strike] (prices according to msm.co.uk, all of them including £7 far too expensive for me to know). Apparently £7 M on both of them but beware - I'm sure I saw msm at £16 when I started writing this post, but seems to have updated as I speak, so maybe M has put the price down today to match but the prices on the APG will be from Wednesday therefore, probably, £16!

The 56 tablets for £7 does seem to be expensive, as they (or a very similar size) have gone down to £6 elsewhere a few years ago. And there were then packs with "100% extra free" available at £6, so that really does seem an overcharge as £3 for 56. In short, making £7 for 56, IMO, a very poor deal.

Evangeline, which dishwasher tablets work out better price? These 56 at £7 or the ones you got on that morning recently?

In the past, 12.5p/tablet would have been my guide price(). That does seem to be the general 'low' that all the supermarkets go down to. Coincidentally:rotfl:. However, there are better prices than that that are available elsewhere. Supermarkets are not always the cheapest (unless you manage to get in on one specific morning very quickly:D). The price of dishwasher tablets ordinarily is very expensive. I know there have been RTCs on other ones - and C&Cs - and far better than the highly promoted expensive £7 r'back offer.

Otherwise, the price of dishwasher tablets does seem to have been generally more expensive this year. In fact I remember msm saying some time ago that the price of dishwasher tablets this year has been much more expensive than it was last year: http://news.mysupermarket.co.uk/category/all/ ("Finish All in 1 Powerball Dishwasher Tablets (52) were on average 21% more expensive in 2014!" (original emphasis.)) Yet again, my perception is in accordance with reality unlike it seems most people's!:rotfl: I think we need to avoid these average prices lol:rotfl:. And, as the "savvy" buys are based on them, therefore probably continue to avoid a lot of those as well, as too expensive for this savvy customer!

Oh it was definitely the ones I got that morning! I got 6 packs for better than free - They paid me £3 to take them  :D There is a 2 for £12 offer on Finish coming up on Wednesday. I don't know which Finish product it is yet but its worth checking out nearer the time and if its cheaper elsewhere buy between midnight and 6am to get the glitch  As soon as I know more I'll post about it :)

I am in need of kitchen towel and noticed that Mozzies have my fav (Regina Blitz) on offer @ £1.49. It's £2.38 in A's so do you think that'll be safe for a APG shop please? I can't remember what day Mozzies change their deals and what days are safe to shop?

    Muchas gracias.

    From 3 hours ago, AvT

    1 x ASDA British Semi Skimmed Milk 4 Pints (2.27L) £1.00 £1.00
    1 x ASDA Paracetamol 500mg Caplets (16) £0.19 £0.23
    1 x ASDA Shades Softest Ever White Bathroom Tissue - 2... £1.78 £1.00
    1 x ASDA Chosen by You Sliced Fruit Loaf (400g) £0.85 N/A
    1 x Armitage Wild Bird Peanuts for Wild Birds (226g) £1.00 N/A
    1 x Warburtons Toastie Thick Sliced White Bread (800g) £1.00 £1.00
    1 x Alka-Seltzer Original (20) £3.00 £2.85
    1 x Dettol Anti-Bacterial Cleansing Surface Wipes (36) £2.26 £1.00
    Used Bloo trigger
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Tea Bags (80) £0.34 £0.27
    1 x Cadbury Selection Stocking (212g) £4.00 £2.50
1 x Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Anti Per... £3.59 £1.62
    Used Sanex Deo trigger.

I also bought Dove go fresh cucumber and green tea 250ml deo which had compared the same as pomegranate in a previous shop but now not appearing so can be used as a trigger, b/c ending 004869

It can indeed (assuming it stays off again in three hours:rotfl:) but no use having two flamin' triggers in the same 3 for £5:mad:. :rotfl::rotfl:Getting mad about your loss on your behalf!

Do the S/P Tea Bags compare vs Morries at the 'correct' price of 27p btw or are they still returning M at some strange higher price?

I picked up the Shades Bathroom Tissue on my shop. I thought at least it's giving about 88p back. The trouble, otherwise, buying items that are the same price at A and the competitor is that they often give very little back, unless they were extremely expensive in the first place, so not very worthwhile. Having bought the Shades though, I feel shortchanged:mad::mad::(, and as if I was 'had'. Just four rolls in a pack for 90p - I feel very shortchanged and not going to buy them again(:rotfl:).
