Sorry to hear you've been having problems too. Think time is definitely what we need. It's the one thing we struggle to make for each other. I work odd days so it's rare to be off together and when we are, I am shattered. Think reducing my hours at work could improve things but I've got used to the money and need to be brave to take a cut again.
We are nearly out the other side now.
Can you book a day off together, get a baby sitter, and just be together? Get away from the house, and just be? It is easy to lose who you are when you get ill, I know my mother did when she was ill (unfortunately she didn't conquer it like you did).
On the other hand, you are a lot better off than a friend of mine (though I hardly dare speak to her now). Some years ago she had breast cancer, went through all the treatment and came out the other end. Unfortunately her attitude is that of a victim, not a survivor. She is now an alcoholic, extremely thin, and I think she has damaged her bones as she broke her hip a while back. She is my age or thereabouts (I'm 53). In all honesty her family have tried everything and she will not help herself, I keep expecting to hear she has diedWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Just pondering whether to chance it with the champagne, cheese selection and BNI to produce a new PP ... and chuck in Mrs Anon's PP from delivery last week too or is that pushing my luck too far?
Thanks
yep, should work no probs!:Dsparklyfee wrote: »One of the finest cheese codes says not available. And the 6 off delivery also. Grr
Ive played around with my order but found 5 x anchor cheese @ £2,
plus 1 x milk and 1 x butter both @£1 worked for me!
total needs to be £12 for codes to work!:)"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

I'm on the no more buying toiletries thread
on the health and beauty board, have been for several years but sometimes a glitch is just too good to pass up
:rotfl:
I am a lot better than I used to be, I have only bought 2 new lip glosses this year make up wise, everything else I have used from my stash.
Oh hold on just remember the half dozen Johnson night creams from Superdrug, what were they 10p/30p? I did give half away though.
Oh and suppose I have to count my glitchy body shop orders this year.
And then there was the 10p superdrug shower gels.
No hope is there, if I don't have to work hard to get something cheap I can't help myself, if it is sitting on the shelf at a cheap price then I pick it up.
I think it's probably lucky that I find APG's a bit of a faff as things could be a lot worse. :rotfl:0 -
Quick question I have a PP expiring tomorrow, is there anything good instore? Haven't been able to find any BNI recently.
I have the magazine, do I use 2 of the vouchers against the 3V cards and can I use the PP too?
Also have a largish APG to use. Are the oils still working? I have cod and ice cream, anything else?
TIALife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

So hard to make the decision to have less money coming in and more time with your family. You are in a career where you will always be able to work and that's a really good thing. You've been through so much Logie. Enjoy all the family time you can afford to whilst your kids are still young. It's gone before you know it and when it is there's all the time in the world to work hard.0 -

Good morning everybody!
This morning I have been overwhelmed with information from dd1's school and dd2's nursery. Xmas jumper day, parties, discos, Christmas lunch, Christmas fair, Christmas plays, carol singing etc. it's giving me a headache with everything I have to think about!
I have a very random question but one of you might know...
Have any of you been to any of the restaurants in the Shard? I'm thinking of taking my DP for his birthday in January0
