Has anyone had defect for INR removed?

Getting a bit twitchy as have had a fair few defects for INR, and still have to last until 20th December without going over the 2%...
So not only have I lost the goods, got a neg in from an irate buyer and can't claim for the loss as have an O.B.A. with Royal Mail, but could also lose TRS - well done Ebay!

You have no chance without tracking showing delivery before estimated arrival date.

I got rid of my one day dispatch time, make it two or three. It doesn't affect sales hardly at all, and prevents cases being opened so soon. Of course, it depends what categories you sell in and people will disagree with me. If you sell rat traps or birthday cakes, people need them tomorrow.
I mostly had a problem with INR when I went on holiday and didn't change the processing days, I will most certainly be doing that in the future.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Yes, if someone has left good feedback but not a low star for delivery/dispatch time then give it a try.
I am ging to try and get one removed when a customer filed and the 'forgot' to update that it had arrived. I escalated that case and got it closed but have a defect. I have to get that done sometime next week.
Use Live Chat while doing something else and see what they say, all it costs to ask is your time.
I've got my VAT return to get done this weekend but if I get it done before you update this I will let you know.
In my opinion.... if no-one ever challenges these things, nothing will ever change and if their staff are spending all their time amending and removing defects then they might consider removing them for INR when the customer has not waited long enough.
I also think that an INR should be removed if you have sent a replacement as, if you have given good customer service, you should not be penalised for this.
I have changed my dispatch time now to 2 days to give an extra day allowance.0 -
Famous last words but I only have one defect for INR and I couldn't get the defect removed despite refunding straight away even though it was early days. I think that CS see that as an automatic defect, so not something they can do anything about. Unlike some of the others which are subjective and might give some wiggle room.
I have recently though got 3 other defects removed for low stars with positive feedback- I did as was suggested on here and spoke to live help and two of them went within 5 minutes. The one yesterday was really daft, the agent actually said he'd never seen anything like it.
Sold an old vintage item, quite tatty and tired but technically unused, I sold it however as used as in that particular category I only had the option of new or used. I explained clearly, including in my item specifics, that this was not new as it was old but was unused- but it did not fit in the new category. I really laboured the point.

I had one removed a couple of days ago. The buyer asked where the item was so I suggested checking at the post office / with neighbours as Royal Mail do not always leave a card. Buyer responded a couple of days later saying they now had it and they left positive feedback. Contacted live chat and explained the situation and the defect will be removed.
My buyer was obviously happy though as no low stars were left and positive feedback was given...[STRIKE]CC1: £354.35 / £354.35[/STRIKE]
CC2: £390 / £1475.98
Boiler: £1500 / £2500

I have recently though got 3 other defects removed for low stars with positive feedback-
I have two one stars for item as described from the same person, yet the feedback on each says "extremely happy" and the second feedback "yet again extremely happy" but ebay live chat would not remove them.
The items sold are very basic, only have one use, brand new and I know they were not mis described, CS said I can see where you are coming from but I cannot remove them.0 -

Keep trying, one of my earlier ones I had to have 2 goes at before they removed it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yep, message back and get them removed. I had someone tell me they did not remove them so I said 'well I have seen from the online community that you do removed them' and I refused to let it drop, LOL. They put me through to someone else that removed them. I just say 'I think the buyer has left the wrong stars as the feedback says they are extremely happy'.
They then tried to tell me that the stars would not affect my selling level as I was at 1.3% and I said it did not matter, they were incorrect and I wanted them removed as it may matter in a month down the line.
Be pushy, be persistent. The sooner they get sick of us asking to remove these stupid defects the sooner they will change it.0 -
I just read again - if they say they cannot remove them just say 'yes you can because I can see from the online forum that defects can be removed - plenty of people have had them removed'.
They will say that they will 'have to put you through to someone more specialised for that'.0 -
I've just had a follow up email from someone called 'Bianca' about my removed defects- it is definitely from ebay but the spelling and grammar is very poor.
It includes this lovely paragraph
Though we always advise members to resolve concern with their buyer first, it is still great that you’ve contacted us to be educated about your options regarding your concern with the feedback your trading partner initially left. Now, you no longer need to worry about the feedback since it was already been remove it no longer have an impact on your account. As you received Detailed Seller Ratings as part of this buyer's Feedback, please be aware that these will also be removed and your scores will be recalculated.
