  • If its not been resolved by tomorrow i'll delete the internet cache that usually helps but i don't like doing that it sometimes means i lose my saved passwords
    thanks for the reply :)

The videos righted themselves completely independently of me doing anything my end, so goodness knows what was up with them. I think they would play through if you opened them up in a new tab, but still didn't credit.

I use Piriform CCleaner to manage my browser cache/cookies etc. Excellent little program. There's much, much more you can accomplish with it, but I simply stick to flushing these at the end of each tiring day at the internet coal face. The nice thing is you can add exceptions to the clean list, and thus keep cookies (sign-in details etc) from those websites you habitually use.

Everything else goes in the bin at 2am. Or whatever time it is! :D

Crowdflower bookmarklet - this is driving me up the wall as I keep getting an error message saying that I haven't accessed the task through the proper route when I have! The 'support' thing wants a screenshot which I can't get cos I'm not in the task any more.
Tip: if you use Chrome, access your usual sites in Chrome proper and Crowdflower in incognito mode. This way if you reset the cache you'll still be logged in Crowdflower.
Another tip: don't reset the cache, just restart the job. It works for me and saves time. But some tasks are seriously broken, like the new casino tasks.

Thank you! I have c&p'd replies to a Word doc so that I can save them & review when I've mustered the enthusiasm to have another go.

Unfortunately the crowdflower sites & others like it don't seem able to explain things so that they make any sort of sense to a non-techie...!

There was another job late last night on Neo that looked very dodgy, but has since gone, so I don't know the number.

It was a website evaluation for 44c.

The first line of the job description was 'There is a problem with the security certificate on my website at the moment, so if you aren't prepared to click past it then you can't do the job'

It was a site offering waste pick up.

If you clicked through, you were then asked to set up an account, including payment details, and to apply for the service.

You then had to go back to Neo and fill in the questionnaire about your experience with the site.

Needless to say, I didn't do it. It could've been genuine, but somehow I don't think so.
It was just fine. I did it on Crowdflower Elite and got $1 for sharing my thoughts on a student who was sorting out an app for college. I can understand your hesitation however, but for once I think it was just something that had gone wrong in the process.

Thanks for all of the replies about the refuse web evaluation task being ok. I think having clicked through to the view/tag images task on Friday and being bombarded with hard !!!!!! videos and pop ups, I was maybe being over sensitive.

The idea of clicking through a certificate error and giving personal information, even if it was just an e-mail address, just didn't feel right.

    Happy tasking everyone.

In your position I think I would have felt exactly the same. :)

Hi I have almost made £17 on clixense, what are peoples opinions about using it to upgrade? I haven't missed my checklist for over 2 months but don't always do much else on there, is is worth me upgrading do you think? Thanks for any opinions.
