Mobile SIM for Ireland

Hi

I'm spending a couple of weeke in Ireland with my wife at Christmas.

Can anyone recommend a PAYG SIM with Data we could use in our phones whilst we are there and avoid Data roaming charges.

We did this last year in Egypt and it was cheap and easy.

As Republic of Ireland is one of the "Three @ Home" countries there are no roaming charges. It charges just as if you are in the UK.

o2 Ireland was sold off by Telefonica earlier this year to 3 Ireland so 2G/3G roaming on each others networks may have started ? Call them and find out, look at the payg rates on www.three.ie and www.o2.ie


Seems they both still have free calls to same network so find out what the family members are on.


Vodafone Ireland used to have a payg option where calling NI/UK was the same rate as calling Ireland so that maybe useful if still in existence.
