I ordered a new phone from TalkTalk to find it required a Micro SIM my previous phone was full size. They agreed to send me a new SIM which was all fine until I lost service on my old SIM.
Its now been 2 days with no service - 2 online chats and 2 calls to talktalk + speaking to manager they assure me I will get the SIM tomorrow. The manager has offered me a call back tomorrow to ensure I do get the SIM and that everything is working fine + to talk about compensation.
What I cant believe is they say this procedure is "Normal" - How can cutting someone off before they get the new SIM be normal I'm paying for something I cant use?
Could anyone advise me how far I should take this and best actions to take as I have never had to go through this with anyone before? (I know they said about compensation but I have no idea until everything is sorted what that will be)
Has anyone had any past experience with this?

Normally what the other mobile operators do is send you your new SIM card, but you then have to call them to 'activate' it which will then kill off your old one.
A bit surprised TalkTalk didn't do this for you.0 -
So was I when I asked for the old one to be reactivated they told me it would be 48 hours before this could be done so I would have my new SIM by then0

I am talktalk mobile customer.
I originally had a normal sim in my phone. I bought a new handset and had to order a micro sim. The normal sim was cut off, on the day the micro sim arrived. I activated it, so had a loss of service for a few hours, but fine.
Talktalk does not allow two activated sim cards, so they will block one, and allow you to activate the other. all went swimmerly for meTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0
