Its up to you, some will do nothing with them and just have them to stop others getting it. Most will set it up as an alias of the main domain so they show the same site but to prevent search engine it should, for now, be set so that it redirects to one particular domain.0 -

Depends who's writing the order.
.com is most universal but most "research" says that .co.uk is preferred domain for uk customers. A pure .uk is currently too new and so certainly is bottom of the list until people realise it exists.
I have a 3 letter domain which I just got the .uk for to give me a 8 character email address. Having a fairly long name and working for long named companies has always meant form filling was a problem until now :T0 -
Use the .com and get the .co.uk and point it at the .com!
I would not use .uk for a business myself, I see that more for personal websites but that's just me.0
