Can I cancel and swap?

Background: I moved 4 months ago and took my sky tv, BB and phone with me. My BB went live on 6th August and I've had nothing but problems since :( my BB connection is very intermittent (I started a thread AGES ago on this forum but I couldn't find it, sorry) and I have to manually reset my router several times when I'm 'surfing', which is frustrating to say the least.

I've spent several hours on the phone to sky over this period of time, they checked my line whilst I was on the phone and, despite finding no fault, sent an engineer out. He replaced the face plate on my box just so he could say he had found a fault (there was, as found by sky, no fault on the line) otherwise I would be charged for the visit and he said I would have to be insistent next time I spoke to them that they are not to send an engineer out as there is no fault on the line and I will be charged over £100 for the pleasure.

Well, my internet has been down and out completely for nearly a week  luckily I have a very lovely neighbour who has BT wifi and has allowed us to use his password so we can log onto his connection (hence how I'm here typing now :D ). I have spoken to Sky who wanted to send another engineer out as 'there must be a fault on the line'. I told them, in no uncertain terms, that if they send out an engineer then I won't be paying their charge when no fault is found, as the previous engineer, and their own line test, has found nothing wrong.

So now I feel stuck.....I want out. I'm fed up with being fobbed off and paying £17pm for a service that has been intermittent, at best, and completely out of action for a week. They have escalated the issue to 'another department' but have refused even a discounted amount as I still have the service 'some of the time':mad::mad:

This is the only service I have with sky that a new contract was issued for when I used the home move service, is there any way I can get out of this or am I stuck for another 8 months with a sub-standard service? Please help, I want to swap to another provider as my neighbour did 2 weeks ago (moved from sky because of the same problems!!)
