Unexplained Mobile Broadband Charges

Good morning. I'm hoping you good people out there will recognise the problem I've got with a mobile broadband bill. I signed up for a rolling monthly contract with EE a few months ago, bought the Osprey dongle and all was well. But then I cancelled the subscription on 8th October because I switched to Sky's fixed line broadband. I gave a month's notice as required, and that - I thought - was that.
But last week I got a "final bill" for £102, a far cry from the usual £20/month I was expecting to pay. I've dealt with EE customer services before and their systems are awful. Eventually they told me that the bill was made up of 9 charges, all on 26th October between 6.16pm and 8.50pm. 6 of these charges were for £14.90. According to EE, these originated from the google play store, and they were very sorry but they couldn't refund me even if they wanted to. But they gave me reference numbers for each one.
So I contacted google. They can't find any trace of these charges on either of my google accounts. The reference numbers aren't play store references. This didn't really surprise me, because what is most mysterious about this whole business is that we stopped using the EE dongle a couple of weeks before the 26th October, and it wasn't even switched on because it had run out of charge. I've never signed up to direct carrier payments either. Anyway, google can't help and have sent me back to EE. It doesn't help that I'm in a Catch-22 because I can't access my EE acount because the subscription is cancelled.
Has anyone come across this issue before? Can anyone please shed any light on it? Thanks.

What about the other three charges?
Have you been in contact with your bank or card provider?0 -
Another avenue: EE Facebook
Though don't give up on the bank. If you are in the right, there is no question as to whether you will get your money back.0
