Your spin is disingenuous, as it would seem to consider only taxes, and not benefits. If the government takes £2k from you in taxes on your 10k salary, but gives you back £5k in benefits then you cannot claim that you have a tax rate of 20%.
Comparing all taxes paid vs benefits/benefits in kind received.

I don't think you know what a troll is...

I'm fully aware of what a Troll is and they don't get 5000 "thanks".

The whole idea of "thanking" someone is that a person finds the posters comment interesting.

You clearly have no idea............ Just to give you a clue . People don't "thank" trolls..........
  • The tax system is unfair, people who earn more pay in more and take less.

Wealthier people also tend to be self employed and entrepreneurial and provide jobs and services that would not exist with out them.

Yes but bear in mind they often employ people on low wages who contribute to the overall functioning of the company/business, and also many of these staff will also be claiming benefits as they are not paid enough by these people to actually live on.

This is a different discussion, but would you pay more for a pint of milk than you had too? Probably not, so why should an employer pay an employee more than they have to?

Both have an impact on individuals lives and what they can afford etc.

Also they do not necessarily employ people on low wages

A construction company will employ Accountants, Lawyers, Architects, surveyors etc etc non of which are on low wages.

jjlandlord has almost 3,000 thanks and he thinks the OP is a troll.
I don't really think your 7,000 thanks means that you're right and jjlandlord is wrong.

Your logic is clearly bonkers and you give far too much credence to the great unwashed.

If they are self employed and are paying the same as someone on PAYE they are doing something wrong.

you can only hide so much income / avoid so much tax. At some point if you are earning enough, you will still pay a higher rate of tax unless you leave the country. (I am talking about personal income not company tax which is relatively easy to reduce).

Well jog on and look up the meaning of "Troll". There are plenty of online sources.........

Meaning??...........and I don't mean the definition of the word. In what way do I "give far too much credence to the great unwashed"?........ Also ,what has this got to do with this thread?.

But they will still pay less than someone on equivalent earnings on PAYE.

I'm pretty sure lefties only go to Michelin started restaurants where you just pay a set amount depending on how any courses you want. All dishes are equal and all that.*

    * = except the fillet steak, there is a supplement for that. Oh and the cheese, that costs extra too.

Thanks count doesn't mean a thing.
Look at Devon, 100k thanks, about half of them given by himself.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.
