Malarone, Doxycycline, Lariam Malaria tablets cost?

The prices vary wildly.
Malarone
======
I paid £4 a tablet in September 2014 to a local independent Pharmacist.
Spoke to Boots today, £3 a tablet.
Rabies
====
A local private GP's practice wanted £400+ for the full course of injections. £80 initial consultation fee. To be fair, that's a walk-in price. Most people pay an annual membership fee as a registered private (not NHS) patient, and then the fees are almost halved.
Boots wanted less than £200.
Yellow Fever
========
Paid £200+ to the private GP, including consultation.
At least they had the vaccine: most places say you don't need it, and they are saving it for people who do.
And then some border control sees your passport has a stamp from some suspect country, and refuse you entry because you have no Yellow Fever vaccination.0 -
I'm looking now, and notice that the GSK Malorone patent was revoked a couple of years ago, so generic Malorone is now theoretically available. The generic is identical but unbranded - both are actually atovaquone/proguanil. I say theoretically, because in my area pharmacists seem to sell only the expensive branded stuff, and my medical professional didn't even mention the generic. I will continue looking.0

did buy the generic malarone last year for a 6 week trip at 1,50 per pill. I must say I barely had any side effects compared to the other ones I tried before, but must also say I did got symptoms while I was in Cambodia. there are couple of online pharmacies who sell u the private prescription after a consultation and tablets.
still i must say, least side effects from all I tried!0
