Actually, this has nothing to do with 'opting out'. ...
How can it have nothing to do with 'opting out' when you are talking about making a search of the electoral roll?....I have not been on the electoral register for years and it seems the address info on me is based on credit file data, not the electoral register.
That's right, there may, or may not be, oodles of accessible data out there about you depending on what you've been up to. If you have any concerns about any personal data held by a particular company you can always contact the ICO.0 -

Spoke to ICO who said their investigation may take 3-6 months (to make a decision) or even longer if they have to pass this onto the spanish ICO equivalent. Nevertheless, ICO (UK) still requires individuals to file a complaint directly to them.
There is also another sister site of theirs that's registered in Bolton.....

On the other hand, Patricia G Thornton is on the electoral roll. I know that, because I've found her, and now know her address. But if she'd have opted out of the open register, I wouldn't have found her.

It's not my fault if her circumstances, and your circumstances are actually quite different.:)... WRONG. No one is talking about the likes of 192. What you keep failing to understand is that the information listed on freeelectoralroll is NOT from an electoral register. I don't know why you keep whining on about Patricia Thornton, I highlighted that site to show some more info on this. Nothing more.

It states the range is from 1980 - 2014 but that's inaccurate too. The data clearly isn't comprehensive and who knows, they may be updating their databases as we speak but what it does show is that is lists data that people may not want in the public domain....namely their address.
Just because your details aren't on the site right now doesn't mean to say they won't be. Should we all then assume you've been a naughty boy just the like the silly aspersions you seem to be cast about others.

So I did take a look and saw that my privacy (such as it is) hasn't been compromised at all. So it's a bit tricky to actually understand what you're on about unless you're willing to take the time and trouble to be a bit more specific.0 -
I'm not on there, I'm not on the electorial roll and have lived in my home for ten years now so if this was based on some sort or credit search as suggested I should have popped up as I have bank accounts and credit cards , I came up as an address I lived in about 12 years back, I think my privacy is safe as far as that site is concerned0
