I have never been on the electoral register and take my privacy very seriously. The website below lists information that you may be concerned about.

google 'freeelectoralroll.co.uk complaints' and it's on the squeaky wheel link.

Anyone else concerned about this?

I think the OP may have misunderstood the meaning of 'Campaign Corner'...

I think that he/she thinks it is a place to start a 'campaign' against rogue companies

One Patricia G Thornton complains that;

Actually, my complaint about the site concerned would be that it doesn't bl00dy work! I tried searching for a Patricia G Thornton and got nothing! However I tried http://www.searchelectoralroll.co.uk/Electoral_Roll_Search.asp (which I've used in the past) and found her in a jiffy.

It didn't find me though.:) That's because I have opted out of the open register. If Patricia G Thornton had opted out of the open register then she wouldn't need to f..., fuss about trying to get her name off websites that enable you to search the open register.

Actually, this has nothing to do with 'opting out'. I have not been on the electoral register for years and it seems the address info on me is based on credit file data, not the electoral register.
