I have dark hair and tan quite easy but im using the light one and find it fine, it builds up every day and after 5 days i have a nice looking fake tan that dont look fake.
My sister has been using the darker one and you have to be a bit more carefull how you apply it as any mistakes show up more

I was in my local boots last sunday and couldn't find any. I asked the staff there and they said they had a shipment in that morning which sold out within 2 hours!
    Will try again this weekend.
Not buying clothes for a year - it's liberating!

Why don't you all get yourselves to Aldi for excellent suncream SPF 15 to 30
for £1.59 200mls. I have tried this stuff in the Costa last summer - no problems.
Also Home Bargains have Ambre Solaire, Nivea and all sorts from 1.99 to £4.99.
My favourite suncream is very cheap - Malibu - found all over the place.

Every summer I spend 6 weeks on the beach in Southern Spain armed with tons of cheap suncream and have never burned. Suncream does not stop you from tanning - just from burning. I never use less than SPF 20 on my body and a facial cream of SPF 30. I did read somewhere that no cream or lotion is ever effective above SPF 15.
Boots prices for sun products are ridiculous - even if you do get a few points.

My daughter has never been sunburnt and we have gone to Spain for the summer since she was 3 (now 11). She wears a baseball cap all the time with her pony tail thru the back - even in the sea and a plain cotton T-shirt - even in the sea. Sometimes about 17.30ish I replace the T-shirt with an old one which has been cut up to chest level so her shoulders are always protected. All this of course is in addition to high factor water-resistant sun lotion.
Each summer we see British families arriving and the whole lot of them burning on the first day. The sun is very dangerous but it's not that difficult or expensive to protect yourselves and especially children.

Apologies for my little rant - I do feel better though.
