This sounds like a ridiculous question but I only ask as a friend of mine told me it doesn't work.
OH has a mini Ipod and I am about to get an Ipod Nano. Can we use the same pc. Friend says that it didn't work, 2 Ipods downloading I-Tunes on a shared pc.
Not at the same time obviously....

yeah you can use them both fine.
each ipod is given a name so you recognise them.this will be filled in the 1st time you connect and it goes through the registration blurb.
plus being different ipods the image will be different in itunes
obviously download and install itunes if you dont have it yet0 -
Many thanks all.
Have seen a lovely pink one. Off to order it.

Sorry - another question.
OH says that when he puts a cd in to download, his I-Tunes immediately appears with his songs on it and that is without him plugging in his Ipod.
So if I put a cd in, how will the pc know to put my I-Tunes up?
Confused.

Hi I use Yahoo Music Jukebox to copy songs onto my MP3. So easy to put songs onto your account from CD and it is free.
May be worth a try.0 -

Thanks very much for that though it looks a little complicated....for me, not anyone else I'm sure! I have Windows but our shared pc is just in my name, ie my Outlook Express emails come up when I log in, so I am not sure about whether I have this computer administrator account.-
- Windows users:
- Open User Accounts in Control Panel.
- Under Pick a task, click Create a new account.
- Type a name for the new user account, and click Next.
- Click either Computer administrator or Limited, depending on the type of account you want to assign to the new user, and then click Create Account. If you see an account named Owner, rename that account with a user's name. The Owner account is the default account which is created when there are no other users designated, and it has administrative privileges
- The first user you add to the computer must be assigned the computer administrator account.

With the most recent versions of Itunes you don't need to do that. You can have multiple libraries in the same Windows user account.
Just hold down shift when you click the Itunes icon and it will give you the option to choose a library or create a new one. (make sure Itunes is closed first)
To choose a library, just point to the .itl folder in the folder where your music is.
So you could create a new Itunes library called "Itunes2" in a folder called "Itunes2" and then whenever you wanted to use that one, hold down shift when using Itunes and when it asks point to the .itl file in the Itunes2 folder.0 -
