I'm in agreement with you, then. Sadly, though, with the best will in the world, we'll still have some parents who simply can't or won't take the time to cook meals, preferring instead to serve pop tarts and crisps. Short of taking the children off them, we can't do much more in these cases than ensure that at least they get a nutritious meal at school each day.
It is the parents that can`t cook i am after. You see, in my mind, this all starts from an early age. Maybe this is yet another failing of our schooling. It was very much on the agenda in state schools decades back . Home economics. Well frankly i think it better they taught than than the dreary economics classes that i skipped . It`s practical.
Matters nothing if you are are a politician or a shop worker, totally important to know how to budget and feed yourself.
Really i could feed a family of 4 for very little money and it would taste great and very healthy. ust watch out on a couple points. Meat, ready prepared and stuff you really don`t need.0
