Hi,
does anyone know the details of this deal from last May.
Broadband AND phone line rent £12.50/mth (pay monthly). MSE Blagged. We've 5,000 Sky 50% off codes for Sky newbies (ie, you can't have had it in the last 12mths).
"For £12.50/mth, on a 12mth contract, you get BOTH unlimited download broadband (avail to 90% of UK), usually £10/mth alone and line rent, incl weekend calls to landlines, usually £15.40/mth alone. Call costs are roughly on par with BT. It sends you a router too, but you pay £6.95 p&p extra for this. If you need a new line too (eg, if you've cable), installation's £20 with this deal."
I took out this deal through MSE and now 6 months later they have started charging me for line rental (another 16.40 a month) I cant find details of the Ts&Cs of the original deal but thought it was £12.50 for 12 months. Can anyone enlighten me?
Cheers,

They might let you stay on your current deal for another 12 months in order to keep you.

I have no idea how to find out the original terms of this deal.
Maybe it does say the line rental will be charged after 6 months but the original offer doesnt sound like that!

How do I find the original offer? If I look back it showes the above then I click the link the pages have been updated so you cant see the original post or offer.0 -
If you have that screen printed that should be enough to persuade Sky to honour the deal.

Here's a link to original offer on webarchive

If you're quick you could threaten to cancel your Sky telephone & bb services (and move over to Plusnet or EE using cashback deals) due to the (£1/month) Sky line-rental increase.
They might let you stay on your current deal for another 12 months in order to keep you.

No they won't. I rang them today and the best they could do was £16.50 a month for BB/LR. The trouble is I wanted to stay at Sky because I get decent service. EE and Plusnet get poor customer service reviews .0 -

I don't think Plusnet gets poor cs review, from MSE's own survey 80% said great service. I am with Plusnet and the best thing about them is a very good customer service. They are also aware of the competition and offered me retention deals second year in a row.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
