Well another update available for iPd2 and iPhone4s or maybe c!
I downloaded it as couldn't be any worse. Touch wood, seems okay. Shall wait until tomorrow to see if it continues.........huge problems reported on several internet sites complaining about the upgrade 8.1 to iPad2. Grateful I wasn't the only one with massive problem(s)!0 -
8.1.1 is now available. I upgraded and restored via Itunes last night and no problems whatsoever today.0

Yes I upgraded to same today. Thank goodness no problems so far. No freezing, no turning off etc etc. if this has corrected the problems then I'll be happy to have saved my money! :T0 -

Guys, the ipad 2 just cant handle ios 7 or 8 the tech in it, just isnt as powerful as some of the newer versions of ipads.
There sadly is no way of downgrading either, all i can say if you have regualr crashes and freezes always do a backup in your itunes to the computer not the cloud so you have a full backup.
Then always make sure your apps are always up to date, from the itunes store. To enable automatic updates, goto settings then itunes and app store and enable automatic updates on apps.
You shouldnt need to do this reguarly but if you have do have some lag issues or crashes, hold down the power and home button together and let go when the apple logo appears this will soft reset.Kind Regards,
Arron

I have a ipad2.
I did it yesterday to 8.1.1. Huge improvement to my iPad 2. Do it - it can't be any worse than it is! That was my thought yesterday as I pressed the button and prayed!
.
Still going well today........no freezing.......faster......
Much happier today. Long may it continue.
Quick question: son used my iPad and it has his name on my iTunes. I can't seem to get rid of it and change back to mine. Any suggestions would be helpful please. Thanks.0
