TalkTalk Mobile - be aware
I had a TalkTalk mobile on a two year contract. It ended late September. It has a £2.50 credit against the account, presumably due to contract ending on a different day from when they normally take the monthly line rental fee.
I wanted the money back and so I spoke to them via their online chat. They told me they didn't give the credit back without me first requesting it. I asked them why and they said it was because some people cancel their Standing Order at the end of a contract. I hadn't done that. However, I told them that they didn't need a Standing Order to be in place in order to pay me what they owe me. I told them that as they had my banking details that they would be able to send the money back. At that point I got cut off from online chat so have emailed them requesting the refund.
Seems to me like they could be holding a lot of cash that doesn't belong to them by doing this. I'm not impressed.
This is just a mention in case others here have come to the end of their contracts and not been reimbursed with any credit due by TalkTalk.
