City Car Club - 8 years membership count towards my NCD?

Options
I have recently cancelled my City Car Club membership as it no longer fits my requirements.
Having been with them for 8 years, so I have built what I thought would be adequate NCD, but my new insurance company won't accept it.
Can anyone recommend an insurance company that does??

Thanks!

No insurer will accept your membership as "NCD".

See if a local broker (not Swinton) can get you an introductory discount to reflect your claim free driving experience

Might Direct Line consider it? They accept named driver NCB transfers onto a new policy

Hiring cars via a car club isn't being a named driver for NCD.

I can't see hiring cars via a car club, being any different from just hiring cars as far as insurance is concerned.

It isn't. You don't get awarded NCD when you hire cars.

If they give you some kind of document that shows you've been using them for X years without any accidents it's still worth asking.

It's worth asking but the answer will always be no, the only slight chance you would have would be if you had hired a vehicle from them constantly 24/7 from the car club for eight years and could provide written proof from the car club confirming this & you being claim free.

Bearing in mind hiring a car club vehicle for that period would cost circa £200 a day eg over £70k a year over eight years so the amount of people who would have done this must be zero
