Well all mine have turned up today in various sized boxes, including the boots I ordered from a coach on the M25 at 5.30pm on Saturday

Amazons express delivery is less 'express' and more pigeon judging by the fact they are now saying express delivery will take 3 days rather than next day
Clearly they had far more orders on Black Friday week than they could cope with.
I wonder if this year will be another of those "will it or won't it arrive by christmas" as the delivery companies can't cope. :rotfl:aliaslotte wrote: »They definitely seem to be struggling. I have Prime so usually get most things the next day. I ordered something on Saturday - it was before 9am, as from 9am I was on the train down to Birmingham and then out all day. It is still showing as "preparing to dispatch" at the moment.
I've noticed a few things are already saying delivery by Wed or Thursday, rather than tomorrow, despite it being early in the day. They must be rushed off their feet.
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this about the delivery. Last year I was ordering things on the trial Prime, and was getting my items the next day, This year I'm on a trial for Prime again and have ordered 3 Kipling purses on Friday and delivery date isn't expected until this Thursday!!
I'm glad I haven't paid for the Prime this year as I would be screaming for a refund if that were the case!Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
If you complain about the slow delivery they'll add another free month of prime onto your trial. That's what they did for me anyway.0

Maybe people who have actually paid for it are getting priority?0 -
I keep clicking on the option of the £1 credit, even though I have a trial of Prime. Great idea and gives me some credit towards my kindle0

Well I'm really very impressed with the delivery, my first items ordered last Monday turned up today, which given I am in Switzerland is really very reasonable. The items were 'preparing for dispatch' within a few hours of purchase, and dispatched within 24 hours.
I bought the carousel rocking horse yesterday that is up again right now, and for that big lump of wood, 17kgs, it only cost £13 to deliver here, very impressed!0 -
2 items ordered last monday arrived by weds.. 2 items ordered last weds came today.. normal free delivery so no complaints.. last year was abysmal with yodel leaving parcels in my garden, in the wheelie bin and on the door step.. items went missing and having to get replacements sent meant a lot of hassle!0

We've paid for Prime & everything I click on, the earliest they can deliver it is Thursday. Not good enoughKind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0

Same here, they are going to loose a lot of my custom
to Argos this christmas,
I complained about it last night, was told sorry we had too
many orders on Black Friday! Too many, good grief, get more
staff in then Amazon.
Didn't get offered a month extra,but it's a crap service anyway,so
not too bothered,Amazons loss, Argos gains!0 -
