EXPIRED Amazon Black Friday week: W/c 24th Nov

I got the Samsung tv, Camelcamelcamel shows £279 as the lowest it has ever been on Amazon, deal price was £219, I think that was quite a good deal. Also yesterday I got the Melissa and Doug folding wooden castle for £34, everywhere else it is £60. So far I'm quite pleased with my buys, I think as long as it is cheaper than everywhere else, even if its only a few pounds, its a good buy.0

So only saved £4.Candles_by_Lisa wrote: »I got the Wifi extender too didn't think it was too great a deal but it was something that I really needed so went for it. Agree it showed £29.99 so only a fiver saving!
I was going to buy them too but worked out I needed only one plug version and one wi-fi version, like this.
The ones offered by Amazon will extend your home network but anything you use will need to be attached to the socket with a network cable.
The Wi-Fi versions are considerably more expensive.
I note they will be selling some BT branded versions of the same later today, supposedly at 2:40pm but I've seen loads of changes to times.0 -

Can you explain to me where it says you need to be connected to an ethernet cable I don't see it. I see it saying you can attach Wired such as blu rays etc and the device can share the network!! Seems to me to be exactly what I'm looking for.0 -
Tesco are advertising a minute past midnight, not sure about the other stores though.
Thanks for this!!!
Guess I'll be up late on Thursday with the iPads/laptops and phones all trying to get a deal. Along with the rest of the world!Albert Einstein “Imagination is more important than knowledge”0 -
not seen the Xbox one today but it was on yesterday, i think it was added late in the day tho so maybe they will add it later I don't know.
X Box now appearing later today, a Kinnect Family bundle. Price for everything is currently £469.
My son doesn't really fancy the Kinnect and the games don't appeal either. But if it's a good deal, better than the one last night, then could be tempted!Albert Einstein “Imagination is more important than knowledge”0 -
This is now listed to start at 6.30pm X box one with Kinect family pack.

Just got Melissa and Doug magic kit for a good price, but threw back the Galt sewing kit when I saw it has been on sale before at £3. Did have the lip balm as well, but it wasn't cheap enough for me, even though I'm sure my daughter would love it0

extenders right?
Yes, they are.
I bought this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BT-Dual-Band-Wi-Fi-Extender-600/dp/B00D84GVN0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416924419&sr=8-1&keywords=bt+wifi+extender
It extends the range of your wifi. We have a large house with the router at one end. There's no signal at the other end. This extender needs to be plugged into a plug socket, because it needs power. That's it. It boosts the wifi signal strength. You can then use your phone etc on the wifi but you don't need to plug it into the extender.
I had the Sky own-brand one before but now need a dual-band one for our new ISP.
It will do exactly what I thought it would. You're talking about Powerline kits which are something else entirely.
The extenders boost the signal strength of an existing wifi network - boosting the signal provided by your router.
Powerline is used when you want to connect a device without using wifi (e.g. a desktop computer that doesn't have wifi) but don't want to run ethernet cable around your house. You can send the signal through your power wiring instead. We use a pair of powerline plugs to connect our router and desktop PC. The PC is indeed connected to the powerline plug by an ethernet cable.
You're quite correct that wifi-emitting powerline plugs are expensive. However, I only needed wifi signal booster (without powerline) and that's what I bought, thanks.0 -
