Merging Sky recorded programmes ?

My mother is in her eighties but is suffering from Age Macular Degeneration.
She purchased a Kindle some years ago as the ability to increase the font size for every book has given her many years of pleasure that she would otherwise not have had.
She also has a Sky + HD box but a combination of not being very tech savvy and failing eyesight means she struggles to operate the menu on Sky Planner. Consequently, I always leave a programme for her to watch before I go but ideally I would like to find a way in which she can watch several different recorded programmes with as few “key strokes” on the remote as possible.
I would love to be able to merge different recorded programmes onto one recording meaning that once she starts playing the recorded programme she would have hours of TV to watch at her leisure but I don’t think the Sky box offers that facility.
Does anyone know of a workaround to this problem ?

You could pre-plan recordings for her, on a weekly basis, or less often if she watches regular series. Then all she'd need to do would be to press 'tv guide' , the green button, then select, all selections having been chosen already.0 -
The 'copy' function would allow you to do this. It is meant to allow easy recording onto VHS or DVD, but it will do as you say you want.
All you do is co into the planner and select 'copy' for the programs you cant to play in a burst. Once this is done, press 'select' (I think, but it could be play) on one of the recordings you have set to copy. It does take a few seconds to start playing.
Don't use the Sky remote (Sky functions) as this will stop the playback0
