You can buy all these mozzie repellents in Turkey about 75pence each

You can buy suntan lotion over there too. When I went to Turkey I got the best tan I've ever had and I didn't burn once and that was using Turkish Sun tan lotion. I usually go red even using factor 30 and I stay out of it most of the time, I wish they sold the Turkish stuff here.

Don't forget to have a Turkish bath early on in your hol as it gives you great skin and a great base for getting a good tan.

One of the best natural insect repellants is clear liquid vanilla. It works great for mosquitoes and ticks, and spreading a little vanilla mixed with olive oil on your skin smells great.

They are a bit but it gets right into your muscles and if you feel great afterwards. It is unbelievably hot inside (but you can pour freezing water over yourself to cool down) you sit in a little alcove watching everyone else get massaged (you wear your cozzie) for a long while whilst all the nasty's come out of your pours (sp!) then when it is your turn then put all this really bubbly soap (I think it's olive oil soap) over you and massage it in then they hose you down with cold water.

I'm not painting a very good picture really, but you've got to try it, it leaves you and your skin feeling fantastic. If after watching everyone else there are too many screams you can always go out and treat it as a sauna.

Where do you get clear liquid vanilla from ET03?

    Sounds lovely :)

You could try essential oils - I was well pleased with them just last week.

When i was in Oz i took high strength Vit B1 ( you have to have it in your system for 2 weeks before you go the area) as this makes your skin smell but only to the mozzies and acts as a repellant, just as garlic does which i also took in Oz as you can buy odour free capsules. Apparently the research doesnt support these remedies but i usually get eaten alive and i managed to only get a few and that was in rainforest etc! Got to be worth a try to avoid those awful red blotches on your legs and that awful itching............aagh!
