I can see that the amount paid seems crazy...but is it any worse that it is paid to an immigrant rather than someone born here?I think....0

Child benefit for instance is virtually nil in Eastern Europe/Romania but in the UK it will be around 400 quid a month for 5 children. That is why they are attracted here and why I'm voting UK to stop this exploitation of our welfare system !!!!
These people add to the annual deficit as they are a NET DRAIN on the resources and tax system. It has been going on for years especially since 2000 when Brown brought in the WTC system. We even send child benefit abroad when the kids are not even here !!!!!
Vote UKIP !! :T
Before you all continue, please look at the facts on non UK born EU citizens claiming benefits. Has anybody bothered to look for this data?
Radio 4 was reporting earlier this week, 4% of benefits are from the migrants you are all talking about, this represents between 100-200 thousand people, half of which are claiming job seekers.
Does this make you all feel better?Peace.0 -

Heard a it more on the radio.
Apparently the amount he would get in Romania is around £400.00 per year in benefits. His wages would be around £2000. So by coming the UK he will get 10 times as much.
This would be the equivalent to a Brit being offered £250,000 pa to go and live in another country and work part time.
I cannot think of any nation that would be stupid enough to do that.
Are we being taken for fools?
Indeed, and they call the Tories the NASTY party. They are not nasty enough and so UKIP have my vote !!! :rotfl:0 -
The conclusion is, any cut backs on benefits dished out to EU migrants would have no impact... also, migrants from outside the EU are claiming more than those from the EU...

Not really. It should all be stopped !! It has just been going on for too long now, we have a massive deficit, which just shows all parties are useless and we need UKIP !!!

25 grand a year would pay for a trainee nurse, or a new teacher, or save around 10 poor pensioners of dying from the cold. Guess real things don't matter though.0 -

They won't just be getting jobseekers though, but possibly housing, child benefit and then access to free health, childcare, schools etc. Then they may even be polygamist with multiple wives etc. I don't believe the figures either to be honest because they are the BBC who always defend Labour.0
