can I (seller) start a returns request ?

My buyer is having difficulties finding the "return item" request on the drop down menu. Can I (as a seller) initiate the return request ?

    No.

But you can unmark it as dispatched and open a cancellation to refund. Select the 'buyer wants to cancel' to avoid a defect.

Get the buyer to send the item back before you cancel.
  • Curious - Ebay do seem to have made changes to menus BUT this is the one option I DID find this morning (when looking for something else).

See my post re NAD menu changes

    See your post?
The system for Not as Described is the same but the "problem" option has disappeared from the menu so its not clear how to access a NAD case. So it's not now obvious to the buyer how to bring an INR case.

    Clear as mud.

Hmmm, the buyer is still having problems having finding the option to return.

I've tried to unmark as dispatched, but I'm the one having problems now ! Between the pair of us, I don't think we should be let on the PC unaccompanied :o

Any kind soul out there who is willing to explain how I remove the despatched icon please ?

Go to your sold items. Across to the right hand side is a drop down menu. One of the options is 'mark as not dispatched'.

Hmm, either I'm being terminally dumb, or there is something odd about this listing. Could it be because it was a click & collect ? All the options I get on the drop down are:

Odd, I don't get that screen.

The other option is to log into Ebay.ie (Ireland) where you will be able to do the old version cancellation.

Purchased 6/11/14, sent out second class 7/11/14 as a click & collect order, so probably picked up a few days after that
