The answer is probably that you've ordered the wrong bit.
I wouldn't blame you for expecting it to be "all in" but you'll probably find that:

Most will offer the spare wheel (with or without a tyre) or a "kit" for the full lot.

    They'll have different part codes.

Hell Nissan, and i suspect others, even offer "foam inserts" as distinctly separate items to hold up the fake boot floor on the QQ if you want to carry the official spare.

Bit difficult to visit the dealer as they are 100 miles away.

I was thinking that a spare wheel, which is a £100 option when buying a Vauxhall included a jack and a brace as a jack and a brace does not appear on the option list for the car. No doubt they could be bought as a maintenance purchase from the spares department or online but I am thinking I have been short changed with missing items.

    I was trying to help.

It doesnt have to be the 100 mile away dealer, isnt there one closer that could help.

someone else has posted the number for custmer services.

I still wouldnt be relying upon a reply by email

I emailed the salesman who said he would look into it but he has never came back to me.

So ring them ... I imagine you were expecting a jack? ... I'd be making the point that the wheel is pretty much useless without one!

Have you got the other bits you would expect? locking wheel nuts etc.

The car is the old model Corsa and yes it came with a wheel locking wheel nut.

Thanks to the person supplying the Vauxhall contact details. I will contact them first as I want to contact the dealer from a position that I know what I am talking about if it is the case that the brace and jack should have been supplied with the wheel

    Have a look at these:

There could be some confusion regards whether you asked for a spare wheel, or a spare wheel kit.

I bought a house and it didn't come with a 500000 acre estate.
