unfortunatly i assume they are pressured to push these products.
most likely with a finacial incentive as well.
i personally find its best to be as abrubt as you can politely be so as to keep conversation over it to a minimum0 -

They are so very pressured and incentivised on things like this that theyll kill their own grandmother to sell you it. Even to the point where there have been millions of cases where people have been signed up to it after saying no.0 -
I usually recognise the questions leading up to the protection (are you in full time employment etc.) and I ask "is this for payment protection?" - they usually answer "yes", my reply then is "no thanks."
Saves them going through that part of the script.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
I basically say thanks but i'm already covered (even though i'm not). It ends there really.
Although some advisors might want to know who you are covered with hence to try and convert you to their product. So its best to have an answer. For example - they say 'are all your cards protected'. You reply saying 'yes they are thanks'. they say who with (this is when you will need to state something and not start mumbling and trying to make up one). so I say 'yes with MBNA/M&S etc'. they might try and find the price of your current cover and go on about when your current cover expires you can take theres for a cheaper price. It then ends there. This is very rare btw and most advisors don't do this.0 -
I just tell them to go and **** themselves. This always works for me and they put the phone down immediately.
Give it a go, it'll work for you too. I personally guarantee it.0
