I dont think its as simple as visit a few builders merchants and pick your partner.

Fundamentally anything in the home improvement industry, particularly kitchens and bathrooms is most likely to end in an average to poor customer experience when managed and sold nationally. While showrooms may be locally managed and run, distribution and installation which is the make or break of this business is often nationally run. Its rare for good trades to want to involve themselves with nationals for several reasons, the main ones being poor wages, poor logistics, bad planning requiring them to make multiple visits to get a job finished for which they dont get paid properly. This leaves the company sourcing second/third rate trades to undertake the installation. Its no wonder that the customer service experience ends up being poor.

Tesco should have seen that they had no hope in succeeding in an industry that doesnt really have a single national chain that flourishes and excels in customer service.

One poster stating that, despite their promise, Tesco will not be refunding unless the credit card company refuse !

It seems that Debenhams have pulled the plug as well

I had a designer from Tesco call. He took over 2 hours and the quote was not cheap. I eventually went to a Swedish company with the short name (LEGO) and found my own fitter, electrician and plumber. The fitter is for 6 miles away, the electrician is in the village and the plumber is my next door neighbour. Result - Total satisfaction. Do your research, it pays.

Mark Two are truly rubbish but they used the Tesco branding to get suckers like me to let them put a bathroom in one of my properties. There are issues to sort out and Tesco want to put it right but my question is what happens to those Mark Two idiots?
They were poor in comms, service and pretty much everything else they were bound to and don't deserve business in future.
