Hi
My nephew (7) is coming to stay and wants to go to the dungeons but my Mum says he's a real scaredy cat and was terrified in Disney's haunted house. The last thing i want to do is spend all that money for him to want to leave or have nightmares. Can anyone share their experiences of visiting the dungeons with children of a similar age.
Thanks

I went with a 12 year old he didn't get scared. I got scared at bits and I'm older (but also a scaredy cat! I got scared in the hanunted house too)
I went to the dungeons again a few days ago actually. It is very entertaining and educational at the same time. If he gets scared easily and doesn't like people and things jumping out at him and the dark I wouldn't recommend he goes. There is a new ride at the end of the attraction where you sit down and are cranked up about 5 metres then dropped as if being hung. he would probably be scared on that too.0 -
I wouldn't take anyone under 11-12 to be on the safe side.0

My daughter (10) and nephew (8) went and loved it.0

If he's a "scaredy cat" I really wouldn't recommend it. I loved it even though I am a scaredy cat but because I'm older I can laugh it off and know its not real. Being only 7 it may affect him and he may get distraught in some parts. I wouldn't take my 7 year old nephew (he's a scaredy cat too!)0

definately not for 5 year olds. the site saysAre there any age restrictions?
No, as long as the child is with an adult there isn't a problem, however the Dungeon is not suitable for people of a nervous disposition or very young children.0 -
I got as far as the doors and DD2 (10) was screaming her head off and didn't want to go any further but DD2 (12) did. I ended up not going and promising DD2 I would bring her back on her own at a later date. DD1 was scared all day just from going up to the doors!!!2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

without spoiling it too much. at the entrance of the attraction there are usually two people dressed up with blood and cuts in places. they may growl or boo you. the indoor queue area is very dark and gothic. just these too bits may scare your kids. if you would like to know more about the dungeons pm me.0
