    Hi folks,

Thanks very much for your feedback. I’ve let our contact at John Greed know that many of you are unhappy with the pearl set and it’s going to set up a dedicated email address for all MSE users wishing to get a refund. As soon as I have it, I’ll post it here.

Your feedback here has been really useful, thanks again for posting.

The annoying thing for me was that I paid £1.50 postage to receive the inferior goods, but cost me £3.20 to send it back first class, because the PO Counter said that it had to go as a small parcel In total £4.70 wasted. Perhaps they would like to re-emburse me? it went back in the original jiffy bag.

Thanks Deborah, I hope this will allow us to return to a freepost address and get a full refund of what we paid.

    That's good news.

I too didn't expect great things but even so, I'm not hugely happy with it. If they were to offer a refund, I'd be more inclined to look at their site again.

Good on MSE for pushing them into setting up a dedicated email though. Much easier.

I am also unhappy with the set I bought not good enough to give as a gift, which I think we all had in mind I would have sent it straight back but it a expensive and still have to purchase a gift, would hope we can send freepost so we don't loose out.
  • Well I sent both my sets back recorded delivery (as advised via website) and am now a further £4.30 out of pocket!! :(

I'm hoping, well, expecting them to return my postage as one of the sets of earrings was missing a stone.

Still smarting at being taken in by this 'offer' ... tut

  • So I bought two sets . The old saying comes to mind " if it's too good to be true it probably is" too be honest if people were thinking they were getting a £100 set for £13 ......
I will be sending one set back. The others I wear to the gym ( which makes me feel better when I am all hot and bothered ) Who wears pearls at the gym :0)
  • Any news on this MSE?

I contacted JG CS directly, to say I wanted to return it as Significantly Not As Described, in terms of both length & quality, and that I wanted a full refund including outward & return postage.
They told me to return it with the cancellation form (attached to the order accepted email) and they will refund in full including outward & inward postage.
I suggest you get this in writing before you return yours!
    Hope this helps.

Any further news yet?, I would very much like to get my £4.70 back. Surely, with MSE weight behind it, we all have a good case to be compensated for losses.
