if not then either the thread carries on with no updated first posts, or they all go on main board as the monthlies did?I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Me too.
We had a short-ish discussion about it the other month and I thought it was decided that weekly comps should go on the main board now? I used the example of the patisserie Valerie weekly comp which was getting very low views on the weekly board but lots of people seem to view and enter now it's on the main board.
Personally speaking I'd far rather see them all on the main, once a week, rather than have to remember to check the weekly thread.
But maybe that's just me?0 -
If the weeklies do go on the main board, the same may as well happen to the Once only, Rafflecopters, Dailies and Mags ect.
Eventually they are all going to be unwanted threads.
It will probably be much easier going to one board for all comps rather than flicking back and forth from one to another.

So if weeklies all went on the main board, every comp that had a weekly entry would have to be posted each week, not with an overall end date and (weekly) in the title
That's why we have a weeklies thread so that people don't miss them until the last weekI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I have a vague recollection that there was a poll about whether all the weekly comps should be on the main board or not. There was a bit or arguing about whether the poll was was worded correctly or something (I have not re-read the thread to find out exactly what was said.)
In the end, you said Glad in your post here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=66588531&postcount=39 that you would start a new poll. I might have missed the new poll, but have not been able to find it using the search function. Before we try to get volunteers for a new weekly thread, perhaps we need to decide if they should be on the main board or not.0 -
Maybe the regs board could become the 'onceonly' board, if they were on the main board what end date would you give them?I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I'm not sure about how any other comps are posted, but when I post up the weekly PV giveaway as above, I post a comp once a week with an end date / time of 8pm that day. I then click expire once 8pm has passed and given that it usually ends up in GO pretty quickly, other users must be doing the same.0 -
I would prefer the weeklies posted on the main board - I am always missing them because I just don't check that thread. I'm the same with the dailies, but the main board would be a nightmare to try and get through - the mags should stay as they are, or at least have one thread for each prize with a list of the mag sites you can enter through. Thanks to all posters :A0
