    Can I join pretty please?

Been a lurker for months now and went on a set of body fat scales yesterday - 11 stone 8lb and 31.6% body fat

    Not good! So I reckon I could do with losing a good 21lb @ £5 = £105

Think I'm going to aim for weights everyday, 20-30 mins of cardio at least 4 times a week and around about 1700cals per day (I'm so greedy that I find it hard not to eat every three hours!)

So I'm probably looking at 1lb a week - so you're stuck with me a while! I'd really like to be 10 stone by my birthday (mid-december) which weirdly is 20 weeks away so I better start now!

    Hello

Weighed yesterday and pretty much as I expected, trouble is I was away working and pesky hotels just don't get it. When I say, "can I have the steak cooked with no added fat, potatoes with no added fat replacing the chips and a green salad with no oil instead of the fried tomato and mushroom" :A , what do I get??? Steak with huge fat strip, chips, fried tomatoes and mushroom AND potatoes swimming in butter and a salad with oil dressing and flippin avacado!! Talk about dispair, I had to send it back! The second time round they didn't remove the chips, avacado, fried veg so just had to hide it an pretend it wasn't there. :wall:

I think that 'instead of' wasn't in their vocabulary because they charged extra on check out.

Still, raring to go and can't 'weight' to start losing it!!:D Sorry! :rotfl:

Can I ask how everyone is doing this - ie what type of diet? Is it calorie counting or fat free or just sensible eating? Is anyone on an exercise regime :j too or just the diet?

It would also be great to find out what sort of meals people are cooking/ eating and how you adapt a family meal to be diet friendly? I know that after a while I could do with a change of menu!

I'm thinking about food already because I made the mistake of putting on the slow cooker at lunchtime!

My biggest problem is portion size, so I a going for healthy options, and trying to not supersize myself!!!!:o

For a little tipple I get the "light" versions of wine.:A And I always cook freshly prepared meals from scratch, so no hidden ingredients. BUT, like I said...I love my food too much so I eat too much...lol...I guess it's a self-compliment to my cooking....:rotfl:

    Hi Hello :D

I'm going to just try to eat sensibly, cut down on portions by at least half (I eat WAY too much!) and try to get more exercise by doing things like walking instead of taking the car (moneysaving too :D)

I'm no good at doing proper dieting plans, I get too annoyed at being told what I can't have, it makes me want it more. It works better for me to decide for myself that I'll be better off not having it. Not that deciding for myself works all the time, or even very often :o if it did I wouldn't be here!

I am walking as much as possible, eating healthy - ensuring I get my 5 a day and also adding extra exercise such as aerobics and yoga into my schedule. Somewhere.... lol
