NatWest Pending Debit Card Transactions in Internet Banking

Do NatWest have a system within Internet banking to show pednding Debit Card transactions like Lloyds, Halifax, Tsb and bank of scotland do ?.
I only ask as I am sure I read on here a while back that when your NatWest debit card is used it shows up on internet banking right away with the Abbreviation POS and the amount (But not the name of the retailer until it debits your account some days later).
But mines never does that, it only shows up days later on Internet banking with the POS Abbreviation after it has actually debited. For example I used my card in sainsburys tonight, there is a difference between the Actual balance and the available balance, but no transaction is listed for today. When I used my card a week ago in greggs it never even altered the available balance as it stayed the same as the Actual balance until days later when it actually debited my account.
Has something changed with Natwest recently ?.

It does not show you the amount without the narrative any longer for pending transactions.
It's been like this for over a year now.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

Thanks for that, so why does the available balance not drop in all cases ?. (Sorry for being thick), but if I have £100 then my Actual balance and my available balance should be £100, but if I spend say £10 then my available balance should be £90 ?, yet sometimes it is still £100 ?.0 -

It'll depend if the retailer seeks authorisation for your transaction.
When they don't seek authorisation your account balance and your available balance will remain the same. That's what happens when have an offline debit card.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

Thanks it would be so much easier if you could tell if the card was online or offline, a different colour, name etc.
But thanks for your help.
It was indicated your card was offline in post #4.
If your cards purple and start 4751 29 it'll be offline.
If your cards blue and starts with the following it'll be online.
* 4751 27
* 4751 28
* 4757 55
* 4757 54
You know your cards offline we went through this the other day regarding pay pumps you was told your card was offline then.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

It's not the card per se, it can vary by retailer and by transaction. Sometimes you will be able to tell e.g. if you entered your PIN vs. didn't (for off-line contactless). Other times it can be before difficult e.g. if Visa/MasterCard have authorised in the place of your bank in accordance with pre-set rules.0 -

Yes thats true, I forgot about that. I was meaning in General though with all banks, for example I remember some cards used to say 'For electronic use only' on them.
So for example if they said 'LLoyds Bank online Visa' or something like that.0 -
I must admit this card thing can be a mind field.
I'm sure possibly 8 out 10 bank staff would not know the difference between card types.
I think every bank have pre-set rules of how they want their cards to work.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
