Hi folks
I was wondering if anybody else had had issues with admiral insurance taking ( or trying to take) more than one payment via direct debit ( single month )
Let me explain .
I have a bank account that is used for direct debits only I put the required amount of money in there each month and things normally tick along quite nicely.
Last month however I received a letter from admiral telling me my direct debit had bounced, I looked at my online banking and saw that the scheduled payment had gone out, and that three days after I had changed a vehicle on the policy they had tried to claim again, I called admiral and the chap I spoke to said there had been a mistake at their end and they had tried to take two payments many apologies blah blah blah.
Then at the start of this month I receive another letter telling me that they didn't receive Octobers direct debit I then send them the bank statement but tgeyvwont accept it. What's next?

Maybe the change of vehicle made a difference to your premium and they needed an extra payment??
Get them to explain why they wanted another payment.
If they didn't give you any warning about the extra payment they are in breach of their agreement with you regarding direct debits and you can complain about this to them. (But make sure it's them who are wrong and not you as if it is you who are owing them, then they may end up cancelling the cover due to default)0 -
The premium went down as a result of changing the car, checked the policy schedule dated the 7th and their is a payment dated 2nd Oct.
Have Admiral got access to a Tardis ?0 -

I would expect that they would have written to the OP to notify before taking any extra payments.0
