A good friend has managed to get my laptop to start behaving itself again. I have changed from physical saving to virtual and setup an online bank account for this challenge and a standing order for £7 a week on a Friday starting the 2nd Jan. I admit to having a bit of maths problem (blaming Christmas spirit) and appear to be a week ahead of myself. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries: July stash 72/0 INS/2 UU/0 TA0

Can I join in, I know I am late but I want to save £1 a day. I am about to transfer £30 in to savings account so I am up to date with everyone else. I have requested access to the spreadsheet too
Thanks

Hi Everyone...I'm sorry I haven't been around....been busy and also been having health problems so haven't been able to work as much and therefore had to take the money that I had saved from my Tin for this Challenge....
So, I've been thinking....rather than trying to pay back what I owe to the Tin....I'm going to save £3 per day from January 1st....I make that £1005 by the end of November 2015....But if I can make it to an even £1000 I will be absolutely ecstatic!!
Hope that's okay
Happy New Year Everybody....We CAN all do this!!0 -

:j Spreadsheet and members list updated :j
Well done to everyone who has submitted their first monthly total.
We are only just above 50% of the January target so remember to use the update sheet and let me know your total
Please use the update sheet and don't just post your total on your post, I can't keep up I'm afraid. The update sheet is organised and easy to use.
Welcome to all the new comers. Grab yourself a seat. I will quote the first post which you'll need to give a read to understand how we work and what happens.
Remember everyone, we are saving from December - December so please remember this when filling out the update sheet.
We have hit over 100 members which is fantastic
Keep the entries rolling in. We want to get as close to 100% as possible.
I hope everyone has a great new year. I'm having a quiet one I'm afraid...

Lovely to meet you ,please sit down and have a little read of what I think is going to be an amazing and beneficial challenge for all :rotfl:This is the "Saving for Xmas 2015! A pound a day :-)" challenge
The aim: To save £1 a day from 1st December 2014, whether it be a £1 coin into a jar or moving it across in an online saver, it really doesn't matter . We will then open the jar or have access to the online account on 1st December 2015 and spend spend spend for all our loved ones Xmas presents.
I will be using my phone banking app and transferring over £1 everyday into my ISA. This way I can watch it grow and see that I'm physically saving. This way, if I have an emergency or am in dire need of money, I have quick access to it.
This thread is the new and improved "2014 - £365 in 365 days!" thread. Lots of people did fantastic on it throughout the year which is why it's back for population demand.
£365 is a fair chunk of change for Xmas shopping and I already have an idea what I'm going to spend it on. Think about it people, this could actually be the year you can surprise your kids / partner with a fantastic present
Get your names on the list people, this is going to be a busy and exciting road ahead
In order to see the spreadsheet after you have submitted the form, you will either have to sign into your google account or sign up for one. Once this has been done you will have to request access to the spreadsheet. I will then add your email to the list of approved persons who can view the document.

Happy Savings :xmassmile | Happy Xmas :santa2: | Happy New Year :snow_laugMrCrimeFiction wrote: »Oooops. I have definitely confused a few people with that post. Sorry we are on December so we post our totals for December this month. Il give an example of how to update the form
On 7th December I want to update. I fill in the morning with £7 saved for December and I give my username and challenge number.
On the 14th, I want to put in another update. What I do now is the exact same but my total would be £14.
On 21st, I want to put in another update. I fill the form in again but it will be £21 saved for December.
For the final Months update on 31st, il update the form again with the same details but it will be £31 saved for December
So if we quickly move onto January, il put in an update for January with £7 saved on the 7th. You do not add this to the previous months as I will do this on the spreadsheet.
You are basically updating me with how much you have saved for that particular month only. That's how it's important to do a final months update so I can see what you've finished on. For people who have completed their £31 for December, I will presume they are finished and don't want to add anymore.
I completely apologise for the confusions everyone. I'm a bit of a techno freak and know computers and technology very well so it's easy for me :rotfl:

I have put £1.10 away for today. We must surely be able to continue this for the whole year. After all we've been putting the pounds away every day despite it being the most expensive time of the year.0
